Carob Almond Butter Spread

This carob almond butter spread is a delicious and easy-to-make alternative to traditional nut butter. It's perfect for spreading on toast, adding to smoothies, or using as a dip for fruits and crackers.
Ingredients:
2 cups almonds
2 tbsp carob powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350F (175C) and spread the almonds on a baking sheet.
Roast the almonds for 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown and fragrant.
Let the almonds cool for a few minutes before transferring them to a food processor.
Process the almonds until they form a smooth butter. This can take up to 10 minutes, you may need to stop and scrape the sides of the food processor a few times.
Add the carob powder, vanilla extract, salt, and honey or maple syrup (if using) to the food processor and process until well combined.
Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
Transfer the almond butter spread to an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
