  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, oats, carob powder, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter or vegan butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. Beat in the egg or flax egg and vanilla extract.

  5. Gradually stir in the flour mixture.

  6. Use a cookie scoop or spoon to drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet.

  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

  8. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
